Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) announced that it has arrested 66 illegals in one day following a raid on three houses in Deira. Upon receiving the information about the location of the unlawful residents, DNRD’s Investigative Department acted accordingly and initiated the raid after midnight. Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Marri, Director of DNRD, unveiled that the arrested illegals were mostly from Asian origin. Al Marri praised DNRD’s staff for their efforts in playing a big role in preserving safety and security and reiterated that DNRD will not spare any efforts to arrest those who reside illegally in the country. Major Talal Al Shanqiti, Acting Assistant Director of Investigation Affairs at DNRD, commented that 42 from the 66 arrested illegals, were absconding from their sponsors and they were all transferred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
