The Golden Residence Permit is granted to scientists and specialized professionals in the categories (scientists and researchers, industrial specialists, healthcare specialists, educational specialists, and skilled workers). The residence permit is valid for 10 years and can be extended if the same conditions are met
Accomplished Scientists and Researchers:
1- A copy of the sponsored person's passport.
2- A nomination letter from the UAE Scientists Council.
3- Approval issued by the Federal Identity Authority (UAEICP).

Senior Scholars and Religious Leaders:
1- A copy of the sponsored person's passport.
2- A nomination letter from the Ministry of Culture and Youth or the relevant local authorities.
3- Approval issued by the Federal Identity Authority (UAEICP).

Elite Fields of Industry and the Fourth Industrial Revolution:
1- A copy of the sponsored person's passport.
2- A nomination letter from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology or the relevant local authorities.
3- Approval issued by the Federal Identity Authority (UAEICP).

Elite Health Fields:
1- A copy of the sponsored person's passport.
2- A nomination letter from the Ministry of Health and Prevention or the relevant local authorities.
3- Approval issued by the Federal Identity Authority (UAEICP).

Elite Education Fields:
1- A copy of the sponsored person's passport.
2- A nomination letter from the Ministry of Education or relevant local authorities.
3- Approval issued by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (UAEICP).

Skilled workers with specialists at higher professional levels:
1- A copy of the passport.
2- A valid employment contract in the UAE or a salary certificate from government, semi-government, and free zone entities.
3- A monthly salary of no less than AED 30,000.
4- A bank statement showing bank salary transfers for the last 6 months.
5- A certificate of academic achievement, no less than a bachelor's degree.
6- (The applicant must provide a report recognizing the academic qualification from the Ministry of Education for universities outside the UAE - attestation of university degrees for universities within the UAE.)
7- A license to practice the profession (for professions that require it).




Digital channels (website/smart application):
1. Log in to the smart services system through (UAE Pass or username).
2. Search for the service to be applied for.
3. Fill in the application data, where applicable.
4. Pay the service fee (if any).

Amer Service Centre:
1. Visit the nearest Amer Service Centre.
2. Get the automated turn ticket and wait.
3. Submitting the application that fulfils all conditions and documents (if any) to the customer service employee.

Residence Permit Fee: AED 1,100.

Additional charge :
Knowledge Dirham: AED 10.
Innovation Dirham: AED 10.
Fee within the country: AED 500.

Delivery Fees:
AED 20.

Note: The issuance fee increases by AED 100 for each year whenever the residency period is more than two years.
Scholars:
1. He/ She must have a recommendation from the Emirates Council of Scholars.
2. He/ She must have a Master's or PhD in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Technology, Life Sciences, or Natural Sciences, from one of the top 500 universities worldwide (for PhDs) or one of the top 250 universities worldwide (for Master's), according to international rankings approved by the Ministry of Education.
3. A certificate of academic achievement, no less than a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent, for all categories (the applicant must also provide a report acknowledging the academic qualification from the Ministry of Education).
4. Conditions (2) or (3) must have been met by the university in any of the last ten years.
5. Must have a score of 1.0 or higher on the Field Weighted Citation Index (FWCI) and a score of 10 or higher on the h-index.
6. Applicants with a Scopus H-index ≥ 20 or those with achievements in building the research and development sector inside and outside the country are exempt from the above requirements, based on the recommendation of the UAE Scientists Council.
7. The degree must be accredited by the Ministry of Education.
8. Applicants must have valid comprehensive health insurance for themselves and their family members when applying for the Golden Residency, or in accordance with the applicable local authority.

Specialists:
1. He/ She must have a work permit in the country based on a valid employment contract.
2. He/ She must be a skilled worker at the first or second professional level, according to the professional classification approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. 3. The minimum educational level must be a bachelor's degree or equivalent (the applicant must provide a certificate of recognition of the academic qualification from the Ministry of Education).

4. The salary must not be less than A monthly salary of approximately AED 30,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
5- The applicant must have a valid license to practice a profession requiring this: physician, pharmacist, teacher, etc.
6- The applicant must have valid comprehensive health insurance for himself and his family members when applying for the Golden Residency, or in accordance with the applicable regulations of the competent local authority.

48.0 Hour(s)
- One of the conditions for retaining a Golden Residence Permit is the ability to support oneself and one's family without needing government support.
- The Authority reserves the right to take the necessary measures to ensure that individuals covered by the provisions of this resolution continue to meet the conditions stated therein throughout the validity period of the Golden Residence Permit (if the salary falls below AED 30,000 or the contract is cancelled, the Golden Residence Permit will be cancelled).
- Final approval is subject to evaluation by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, after reviewing the requirements and provisions and the administrative and financial efficiency of the jobs and establishments.
- Golden Residence Permit holders are exempt from the 180-day stay abroad law, as the residence permit is considered void only if it expires outside the country.
