GDFRA Dubai, Etisalat sign partnership agreement
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has signed a partnership agreement with Etisalat to enhance their collaboration, exchange expertise, and accelerate the transformation of Dubai into the world’s smartest city while underpinning sustainable development through the evolution of digital and smart service frameworks.
The agreement was signed by HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, and HE Abdullah Salem Al Mana, General Manager, Etisalat.
Under the partnership deal, both sides will collaborate to foster communication bridges and coordination around data to enhance customer-centric services, engage in joint project development, and exchange creative and innovative ideas.
HE Lt. General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri stressed that the pact will not only help realise the UAE's wise directives of metamorphosing cities into smart, sustainable urban centres, but will also help enhance public-private sector collaborative frameworks. This initiative comes in line with the strategic priority of crafting a smart Dubai, spearheading efforts to innovate smart digital service mechanisms, thereby substantially uplifting the living standards of Dubai's residents and visitors.
For his part, HE Abdullah Salem Al Mana reaffirmed Etisalat's commitment to devising digital solutions based on artificial intelligence and latest technologies to support the digital transformation of governmental bodies and foster the smart city paradigm, thereby propelling Dubai closer to its ambitious smart city aspiration.
