Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri honours Hatta border crossing staff for achieving six-star rating

HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, has honoured staff members of Hatta border crossing for receiving a six-star rating.

Quoting His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, "It is a well-deserved honour for a team loyal to its country, dedicated to the service of their people" Lt. Gen. Al Marri underscored the importance of emulating His Highness's dedication to loyalty and commitment to ensuring customer happiness.

Highlighting the strategic significance of the Hatta land port as a vital link between the UAE and neighbouring countries, Lt. Gen. Al Marri emphasised that this recognition marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with challenges and heightened responsibilities for the port's employees. He described Hatta as beautiful and worthy, deserving only of sincere and dedicated work.

Furthermore, Al Marri called upon all government and private sector entities in Hatta to engage in a collaborative effort to elevate the city to a 6-star standard and beyond. He envisioned Hatta as a city that offers government and private services, facilities, and retail experiences of unparalleled quality, ensuring an integrated and superior service delivery that meets the six-star rating criteria.

The event also featured a personal tour by His Excellency of the passport control booths, where he personally greeted officers who were engaged in their duties and unable to attend the ceremony. His Excellency lauded their dedication to serving the country and facilitating the travel of passengers through the port, reinforcing the collective commitment to excellence and service at the Hatta border crossing.
