General Mohammed Al Marri visits Dubai International Airport on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr
During his routine visits to ensure smooth operations and performance quality, General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, visited Dubai International Airport on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. The visit included both the arrival and departure halls in airport terminals 1, 2, and 3. He was accompanied by Major General Obeid Mehair bin Saroo Deputy Director of GDRFAD and several senior officers and officials in the air borders sector. During the visit, they also inspected the children's passport stamping counters to closely monitor the work performance and the quality of services provided to travellers across Dubai airports.
General Al Marri expressed his gratitude for the quality services and efforts made by the residency officers at GDRFA Dubai and the team working at the children's platform. He emphasized the importance of providing a safe, enjoyable, and enriching environment for children during their travels. Such initiatives enhance the traveller experience and contribute to creating positive memories for them and their families. He also commended the efforts of the passport officers and their friendly interactions with children.
This visit is part of the UAE's commitment to enhancing service quality and developing infrastructure to meet the needs of the community as a whole. It reaffirms GDRFA Dubai's commitment, along with its work teams, to closely monitor all operational aspects to enhance the level of services provided and improve their quality in line with Dubai's residency strategies and its pursuit of providing the best global practices. It's worth mentioning that the number of children who used these platforms since their launch on April 19, 2023, until the end of last year was 434,889 children. They were given the opportunity to stamp their passports themselves with the assistance of specialized supervisors and experts in dealing with children from the passport officers. During the first quarter of the current year, 118,586 children used the platforms. This platform provides an unprecedented experience for children, contributing to enhancing their confidence and providing them with a smooth and enriching travel experience, further solidifying Dubai and its airports as one of the best in the world.
