The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai is finalizing preparations for the new edition of the New Year celebrations for Dubai’s workforce in 2025, under the slogan “We Celebrate Your Achievements, We Build the Future.” The event is set to launch today in the Al Quoz area, aiming to honor the workforce that has played a pivotal role in building and advancing the emirate.

In this context, His Excellency Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of GDRFA Dubai and Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Labor Affairs in Dubai, expressed his pride in the occasion, saying: “This event reflects Dubai’s gratitude to every hand that has contributed to its developmental journey. Through this celebration, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and honor the workforce’s role in achieving the emirate’s ambitious vision.”

Similarly, His Excellency Major General Ali bin Ajif, Assistant Director General for the Labor Regulation Sector, emphasized that organizing this event reflects the administration’s ongoing commitment to appreciating the efforts of workers. He highlighted the importance of providing a unique experience that embodies the values of unity and humanity that distinguish Dubai as a global city.

As part of the preparations, the organizing committee has ensured the site’s readiness and implemented the highest safety standards for attendees. This includes comprehensive security plans featuring over 450 barriers, 30 security personnel, and police patrols in collaboration with the Civil Defense and Dubai Ambulance Services. Additionally, the site is equipped with grandstands that can accommodate over 1,428 seats to ensure participant comfort. Multilingual brochures have been distributed in collaboration with “du,” which has also sent SMS instructions to attendees.

The event will feature a rich program of entertainment activities, starting at 2 PM and running until midnight. It will include world-class performances alongside acrobatic and interactive shows, and will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display to welcome the New Year in an atmosphere that underscores Dubai’s appreciation for its workforce and their essential role.

As a gesture of recognition, a raffle will offer valuable prizes, including cars, gold bars, smartphones, electric scooters, and travel tickets, supported by prominent sponsors such as “du,” Dubai Duty Free, and Ellington Properties, along with other notable contributors. The administration also praised the spirit of collaboration with strategic partners, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dubai Police, Civil Defense, Dubai Ambulance Services, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and Dubai Municipality. This collaboration reflects Dubai’s commitment to providing an exceptional experience.

The GDRFA concluded its announcement by inviting community members to join this special event, which carries a message of gratitude to the workforce and emphasizes that everyone who has contributed to the emirate’s success story is an integral part of its promising future.
