Dubai Residency Celebrates the 53rd Bahraini National Day
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai celebrated the National Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which falls on December 16 every year, by organizing special events to welcome Bahraini travelers arriving through Dubai’s airports. This reflects the strong fraternal ties between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Directorate announced that Bahraini travelers’ passports would be stamped with the slogan “Bahrain is the Heart and Eye”, while the smart gates at Dubai airports were adorned with the colors of the Bahraini flag, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Travelers were also presented with gifts and sweets.
Major General Talal Ahmed Al Shanqiti, Assistant Director General for the Air Ports Sector, emphasized that this participation strengthens the historical and cultural bonds between the two brotherly nations. He stated: “Our celebration of this occasion reflects the depth of bilateral relations at the political, economic, and cultural levels. It also reaffirms Dubai Residency’s commitment to sharing the joy of Bahrain’s glorious national celebrations.”
Major General Talal Al Shanqiti highlighted that the UAE has always been a preferred destination for families from GCC countries, thanks to its diverse tourism experiences and world-class entertainment attractions, especially during the winter season, which features numerous events and festivals.
The celebrations took place in a joyful and festive atmosphere, with Bahraini travelers receiving a warm welcome and traditional Emirati hospitality. The travelers expressed their happiness and appreciation for this kind gesture, which combined joy, pride, and a sense of belonging.
The events concluded in a warm and familial setting that reflected the spirit of fraternity and solidarity among the people of the GCC countries. The celebrations underscored that the Kingdom of Bahrain remains a model of coexistence, love, and prosperity in the region.
