Statement on women day by General Director GDRFA-D

His Excellency Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, hailed the efforts of the UAE in reinforcing the role of women in the society, by boosting their positive participation in the development of the country. He underlined the equality between women and men, asserting that the strength and the determination of women have enabled them to occupy many positions in various sectors. Today, they are inspiring examples of empowerment and determination, thanks to the insightful vision and the unlimited support of our founding fathers, which provided them with care and appreciation. Today, our wise leadership is following in the footsteps of our founding fathers in supporting women in various fields. His Excellency Major General Al Marri added that celebrating International Women’s Day is a sincere expression of appreciation for their efforts and their positive role in community. Women are mothers, sisters, daughters and active partners in the sustainable development that the country is witnessing. They have written some of the most wonderful stories of success. On this occasion, we express our pride and honour towards them and their achievements.
