His Excellency Major General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, inspected the continuity of operations at Dubai International Airport, and verified the completion of the procedures for travellers through the passport counters. He greeted the employees on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. His Excellency was accompanied by Brigadier General Talal Al Shanqeeti, Assistant General Director of Airport Passport Affairs sector; and Major Abdullah Muhammad Al Mutawa, Director of the Airport Passport Control Department, Building 2, and a number of other officials. His Excellency Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri praised the efforts of immigration officers who work on the front lines to facilitate the arrivals and departures of passengers through Dubai airport gates. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the front line employees who have proven their competence in efficiently providing services and facilitating the procedures of the customers and travellers during this difficult period. GDRFA is proud of the patience, dedication and devotion of front line employees that reflects their responsibility and their full awareness of all the directives of the country, he said, reminding them to follow all precautionary measures to maintain their own safety and the safety of the travellers. His Excellency Major General Mohammed Al Marri said: “The safety and health of employees and the travellers is among our priorities, and therefore, we are keen to establish all the necessary preventive and precautionary measures to maintain the safety of our front line employees who are working on immigration counters, by following and applying instructions and precautionary measures recommended by the health authorities. We conduct a number of regular check-ups for all our employees who work at Dubai airports, in addition to the continuous sterilization procedures.” He confirmed that the directorate continues to implement the directives of the wise leadership by providing its other services remotely with ease and efficiency. His Excellency Major General Al Marri said: “GDRFA Dubai works in line with the directives of our wise leadership, which is keen on harnessing all resources and capabilities, in cooperation with its strategic partners at Dubai airports, to facilitate the transit through Dubai air ports, in light of the current crisis the world is navigating.” Meanwhile, employees expressed their happiness with the care and support provided by the senior leadership at GDRFA; their diligent follow-up on the continuity of operations; and their reassurance, during these unprecedented circumstances. They also expressed their joy in welcoming His Excellency to their workplace on the first days of Eid Al-Fitr.
