His Excellency Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri On the occasion of the 50th Omani National Day

His Excellency Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, General Director of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, said: “We congratulate the leadership and the people of the Sultanate of Oman on the occasion of its National Day, fifty years of historical and cultural achievements that will remain immortal in the memory of the next generations.” His Excellency Al Marri explained that what binds the UAE and the Sultanate Oman is not merely a mutual history and destiny, but an eternal and long-standing relationship that was established by the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and his brother Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who were keen to strengthen this fraternal ties over decades. These bonds became stronger and more established under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His Excellency Al Marri assured that His Highness Sultan Haitham Bin Taimur Al Said is the best successor to the best predecessor, and that the Sultanate of Oman will continue to remain a symbol of prosperity and peace and a role-model for strong fraternal relationships. His Excellency Major General Mohamed Al Marri added that the participation of Emiratis in Omani national occasions represents the highest level of fraternal cohesion and a relationship of a loyal cooperation between the two sister countries.
