The Golden Residence Permit is granted to top students graduating from UAE schools and universities or international universities. The residence permit is valid for 10 years and is non-extendable if the same conditions are met.

- Obtaining approval for a Golden Residency for students is conditional upon a residency file issued solely by the Emirate of Dubai.
- Golden Residency applications cannot be submitted without the approval of the relevant ministry through the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (UAEICP) system or through the nomination of competent local authorities.
- Golden Residency permits for students are not renewed after their expiration.
- High-achieving high school students are only permitted to sponsor their parents, excluding siblings.
- University students are permitted to sponsor family members (spouse and children) upon proof of an employment contract, a steady monthly income, and housing, in accordance with the conditions and laws governing family sponsorship. -
Golden Residency holders are exempt from the 180-day residency permit, as the permit is considered void only if it expires outside the country.
