Awards and Certificates

In the categories of outstanding technical projects for the e-criminal laboratory project and a special award for the team at Mina Um Qasr in 2004, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai received two awards from the Dubai Government Excellence program in 2005.

General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai was awarded the Outstanding Technical Project Award for the Smart Gate at the Dubai Government Excellence program award in 2004.

For its electronic complaints system, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai received a special award from the Dubai Government Excellence Program in 2008.

The UAE-Vision project was one of several projects for which the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, represented by the Creativity and Innovation Center and the Air Ports and Smart Services Sector, won the British Ideas Award. - The Next Generation Departure (NGA) project received a Process Improvement Award. - Customer Service Award for the project's smart gates allowed travellers to finish their travel formalities as quickly as possible.
The International Executive Leader Award in Innovation Management went to Al-Elham Madaniya's Younis Ahli, Director of the Creativity and Innovation Center.

At the Culture and Science Symposium's 25th session, employee Kholoud Abdullah Al Ali Saleh from the Institutional Support Sector won the Al Owais Award for Creativity in the category of Best Artwork for Youth.

The General Department of Residence and Foreign Affairs Dubai, represented by the Department of Human And Financial Resources, was awarded the Best Settlement Initiative in the GCC, in addition to the Human Resources Department's award for the Best Happiness Initiative of the Year. 

In the 15th edition of the International Stevie Awards, Dubai Residency, represented by the Human and Financial Resources Department, won three prestigious honors in the human resources sector, namely:

- The Golden Category Award given to the category's best human resources happiness team.
- Major Ahmed Al-Marri, the department's director of human resources, received the Silver Category Award in the category of best human resources leader.
- Bronze category award given to those who have made the best contributions to the field of human resource management
With more than 4,000 applicants from more than 60 nations, the Stevie Award is one of the most significant international honors in the fields of institutional excellence, human resources, and international business.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, represented by the Human and Financial Resources Department (Medical Unit), won the British Ideas Award in the Health and Safety category.

The American Ideas Award for Best Resident for the year 2018 was won by Major / Faisal Abdullah bin Balila, Director of the Strategy and Future Foresight Department. - The Director of Facility Management, Lieutenant Colonel / Omar Matar Khamis bin Mazina, received the Executive Leader Award.

The Happy Newborns initiative, an integrated electronic service offered to new citizens, was recognized with the Grand International Award within the Arab Ideas Award by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, represented by the Nationality Affairs Sector. The customer receives the following services for the newborn through the "Mabrouk Ma Yak" service: the issuance of a birth certificate, the addition of the newborn to the family book, the registration of the newborn in the population registry, the issuance of a passport, the issuance of an identity card, insurance-trust, and the names of newborns are also registered in the population register. The winner of the Executive Leader Award for Innovation was Al-Madaniya / Elham Younis Ahli.
