GDRFA hosts "Creative Industries: A Gateway to the Future" workshop
The Innovation and Future Centre at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai organised an awareness workshop titled "Creative Industries: A Gateway to the Future in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation." The workshop took place on July 17 and 18 at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library.
The event discussed seven primary themes revolving around the concept of creative industries, their various branches, trends, and development methods. Intellectual property and the challenges faced by creative industries were also key topics of discussion. Furthermore, the workshop provided an in-depth analysis of the Dubai Creative Economy Strategy.
Brigadier General Hussein Ibrahim, Assistant Director General of the Institutional Support Sector, affirmed that GDRFA is committed to bolstering the Dubai Future Readiness Index and cultivating the creative scene in various sectors, including the service industry.
The two-day workshop shed light on the pillars of creative industries in the UAE and globally. It discussed the relationship between these industries and intellectual property protection systems and their contribution to the local and global economies. The gathering also aimed to reinforce Dubai's leading position in the economy and creative future industries, creating sustainable growth that leverages innovation as a crucial pillar in supporting the world's new transformation
