18 GDRFA employees complete English job skills training course
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has celebrated the graduation of 18 employees who successfully completed “English for Career Development Course”.
The programme was carried out by GDRFA’s Continuous Learning and Talent Development Centre in cooperation with the University of Cambridge. The ceremony was attended by HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General, his assistants, and several officers.
The comprehensive 45-day programme, averaging 6 hours daily and encompassing a total of 1,648 exercises, covered various training materials aimed at enhancing employees' abilities and skills. These included communication, effective understanding, active listening, and customer interaction techniques tailored for different cultural backgrounds.
Lieutenant General Al Marri commended the fruitful cooperation between GDRFA and the University of Cambridge, highlighting that this partnership has notably contributed to equipping GDRFA employees with vital scientific and academic knowledge and skills, bolstering their career trajectories. It has especially improved their proficiency in English and other languages, enabling effective communication with a broad spectrum of international stakeholders.
Al Marri emphasized that the directorate is committed to developing its workforce by fostering collaborations with leading academic and scientific institutions globally to support ongoing education and scientific advancement, cultivating talent, enhancing human resource efficiency, and optimizing their potential.
