Dubai GDRFA Concludes its Participation at GITEX, Showcasing Smart Projects Aligned with the Future of Digital Transformation

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai concluded its distinguished participation at GITEX 2024, where it showcased the latest digital services that represent a qualitative leap in the digital transformation of residency services. This comes in alignment with the vision of Dubai and the UAE toward a comprehensive digital future that enhances the quality of government services and meets customer expectations.

During the event, GDRFA Dubai signed pioneering strategic agreements with several local and international entities. The aim of these agreements is to enhance its digital services and develop innovative smart solutions based on the latest advanced technologies. These agreements strive to achieve national objectives by transforming Dubai into a global hub for innovation and technology, contributing to its position as a leading destination for efficient and pioneering digital government services that sustainably enrich customer experiences.

The presentation included major services such as 'Borderless Travel,' which offers biometric recognition for travelers; the 'Proactive Registration Platform' for streamlining procedures before arrival; 'Esnad' for internal service support; the 'Digital Assistant' platform for comprehensive customer support across digital channels; and the 'Customer Sentiment Analysis System' that measures customer satisfaction using AI technologies to analyze facial expressions and voice data. The presentation highlighted several other smart projects aimed at enhancing customer experience and ensuring high-quality services.

Additionally, the GDRFA organized a Cybersecurity Hackathon during the exhibition to raise university students' awareness of the importance of digital protection and develop their skills in facing future cybersecurity challenges.

In alignment with these efforts and as part of GDRFA Dubai’s ongoing commitment to supporting innovation and leadership in service provision, the administration announced during its GITEX 2024 participation the organization of the eighth edition of the International Conference on Educational Quality (ICEQ) in 2025. This conference aims to explore and support the role of artificial intelligence in developing and enhancing educational systems, strengthening educational institutions' capabilities, and contributing to building generations capable of facing future challenges.

The GDRFA booth received extensive media coverage from various local and international outlets, which followed the innovative projects and initiatives displayed during the exhibition with great interest.

At the close of the exhibition, His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri stated: “We are proud of the significant success we achieved at GITEX 2024 by showcasing smart solutions that enhance individuals' quality of life and improve the efficiency of government services. The signing of agreements with global companies reflects our ongoing commitment to developing our smart services and achieving comprehensive digital transformation.”

Lieutenant Colonel Expert Khaled Bin Medeya Al Falasi, Deputy Assistant Director for Smart Services, emphasized that these projects mark a significant step towards enhancing digital efficiency in all operations, stressing that the GDRFA strives to provide advanced proactive services using the latest technologies.

Through its participation in GITEX Global 2024, the GDRFA Dubai reaffirms its steadfast commitment to adopting innovation and advancing digital transformation, contributing to the provision of integrated smart services that support Dubai's vision as a global center for technology and innovation.
