GDRFA organizes knowledge seminar as part of ongoing seminar series

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) organized a remote knowledge seminar titled “The Role of GDRFA in Welfare of Creators.” Captain Rashid Al Ali from the Violators Follow-up Sector; Engineer Salem Al Dahmani, from the Institutional Support Sector; and Sergeant Amer Saeed Al Jabri, Program Supervisor Sponsoring creative people in the Center for Creativity and Innovation at GDRFA Dubai were among the speakers. The session was moderated by Ms. Salaha Obaid from GDRFA. The session dealt with a number of topics, including the most prominent innovative projects that simulate Dubai's vision for future and meet the requirements of global competitiveness to achieve the UAE Centennial 2071. It also discussed smart transformation, artificial intelligence, the fourth industrial revolution, and the government’s efforts to make the UAE one of the best countries in the world, in terms of security, peace, distinction and creativity. The seminar forms part of a series of knowledge seminars held by the Department on an ongoing basis, with an aim to introduce GDRFA employees to the importance of the Creators Care Program. It further deals with how to create a stimulating environment for future innovations and come up with innovative ideas to develop administrative services and motivate employees to create and innovate. In the opening session of the seminar, Staff Sergeant Amer Saeed Al Jabri, Supervisor of the Creative Care Program at GDRFA’s Creativity and Innovation Center at GDRFA spoke about the Creative Care program launched by the Directorate two years ago, to discover and care for people with outstanding creative skills, including employees. Al Jabri talked about the importance of the program, which aims to build innovative capabilities and transfer innovations to tangible results, in cooperation with the International Institute for Innovation Management in the United States. It is also aimed at understanding and recognizing the UAE model of anticipating the future and innovation and knowing how to create innovators in a work environment that stimulates futuristic innovations. In addition, it strives to harmonize the strategies and capabilities of the institution with information technology systems, which enhances its competitiveness. Al Jabri added that the program is an integrated program to prepare creative employees with innovative future thinking skills. Furthermore, a number of ideas and projects that use artificial intelligence were discussed to provide the best services to customers. At the end of the dialogue session, the speakers discussed with the participants during the symposium a set of questions on how to join the program, especially as we are going through these current circumstances during COVID-19.
